Hi Brad,

For the time being I’m out of the breakfast blogging business due to personal reasons. Muffin also had to stop. Azureus is around but quite busy. The only person updating these days is Spanky, but I imagine he’s quite busy with other projects as well. Not sounding too promising, is it? Oh well, we’ll see what the future has to offer! Keep your fingers crossed!

On a different topic, if anyone is interested, Kenny Shopsin has a book out called Eat Me. Check it out!

Just curious what is going on with the blog? 1 post in months…I keep checking back but still nothing new.

Was great coming to this blog each Monday and seeing all your weekend breakfast jaunts.

I just stumbled onto your Breakfast Blog and wish I’d known about it a lot sooner. I had to rush right out to my kitchen and make something inspired by you guys. Thanks!

I am curious, however, with all your BEAUTIFUL pictures — why do you think the dirty dishes add a nice touch? Dried egg yolk on a plate forces me to go back up and look at the good eats.

Anyway, nice job. I’m enjoying all your archives.

Nice to see your still taking those money shot photos. Everytime I see these pictures I get hungry for some good old fashion breakfast that my wife likes to make on Saturday morning. Last time I sent a message I was in Camp Taji Iraq in 2006 and now I am broadcasting from Mosul Iraq keeping them tanks rolling for our boys out here in lovely Iraq. Breakfast here is still lacking that extra kick but at least we are getting fresh eggs and bacon which is a plus…

CSA is Community Supported Agriculture.
It is when members of a community get their food directly from farm, usually by paying money to the farmer(s) in advance of the growing season. This not only cuts down on cost, as there is no store, no advertising, no wholesaling, etc, but also allows the concumer to have a direct link to the farm. This link ensures that the consumer knows exactly what they are getting, and also they can suggest to the farmer what they may want.

I paid in April, and we receive a basket of vegetables every week until november. I paid so long ago, it feels like it is free now. We eat out in restaurants less often, and we eat more vegetables.

When there is a bacteria scare or a food-related illness, which is now becoming a regular occurancde in North America, I need not worry. My food has not been in a processing plant or a store.

I had brunch in a restaurant this morning with my parenst and realized that my eggs are soooo good, because the sacramble had very little flavour. It contained eggs, potatoes, onion, mushrooms, and bacon, and still, it was bland.
