Sunday Brunch Chez Lucien

Chez LucienSunday was a gorgeous day to get out and head for the Byward Market in search of brunch. I had wanted to go to Chez Lucien for ages and was worried it would be packed since it’s a small place. My fears, however, were false, and the three of us sat in the front area, surrounded by windows. Ahhh, natural light makes for wonderful photos…

There were just 3 choices… Eggs Benedict, Eggs Florentine, and the one with salmon whose real name escapes me at the moment.

Gen had the Florentine:

And Steve and I both had the Benedict:

And for a closeup:

The potato concoctions were totally awesome, as were the eggs. 8 bucks a pop coffee extra.

In some other Breakfast Blogger news, the post I made back in December about the Bacon Weave, which I can’t take credit for, got noticed by TasteSpotting.com. This brought on quite the spike of traffic and comments on that entry, and some bacon related drama ensued. It is rather amusing, and I urge you to check it out: The Great Bacon Weave Drama of January 25, 2008.

Bacon always brings the drama. hehe..

I get comments from “chiffOnade” all the time on my blog, and I just write her off like spam. Half the time it doesn’t even make any sense. I like that the readers here take pride in their breakfast meats, and that they took a stand for bacon!

Yumm those eggs look wonderful !!

What is it about Sunday brunch anyhow that make it so special?

    Hello fellow Ottawa blogger!

I’ve seen Chez Lucien on the #1 and the #3 but never went there; but that brunch sounds delectable. Thanks for the review!

They make great burgers! Ok, not a breakfast food, but they are worth mentioning. Also, prices are amazing.
Yes, I too would like to have one of those potato things right now to go with my boiled eggs.
Do they have just bacon and eggs or only benedicts?
