Nature’s Path Organic Corn Flakes
Happy New Year! It’s been a while since I last posted– I had a pretty busy holiday season this year.
I decided to pick up a bag of Organic Corn Flakes a couple of weeks ago..
It’s a bit pricey at around 7 dollars or so, but pretty tasty and worth it in my opinion, especially if you’re trying to avoid processed ingredients. I was pretty blown away when I saw this:
Organic corn meal, concentrated organic grape juice (?!?), and sea salt. That’s it!!

I found that my no sugar added breakfast syrup also contains grape juice. Oh the strange places grape juice comes up!

Concentrated grape juice is essentially glucose and fructose (sugars) with a little color and flavor and is used as a sweetener - it is used because it sure sounds better on the label than saying sugar.

Personally, I prefer Erewhon Corn Flakes, which contain only corn and salt (no grape juice or any other sweetener at all, thank you).
