I miss the Great Canadian Bagel too, there was one that managed to eke out an existance at the U of A campus untill late last year, but it's closed down too. I think there's still one in Edmonton, but it's way on the other end of town from me, so I'm not THAT motivated to hunt it out. That looks SO good.
