Now I'm REALLY hungry!

For the person re: healthy donuts - I've settled for the oven baked kind a few times - which makes them better for you (you need one of those non stick donut pans though - or in a pinch you can make them in muffin tins) - not the same but it's a donut - there are a bunch of recipes for oven/baked donuts online...

Man the donuts you made look good!

Jen, it depends on what you mean by healthy. There are apple fritter recipes, banana fritters, and some yeast donuts can actually be baked. I have a recipe for rice flour gluten free donuts that taste pretty good, though they are fried, so that sort of negates any real health benefits you might gain from them being made with more healthy ingredients.

Honestly, the healthiest donut is the donut you leave in the box. I very rarely eat donuts, and when I do I usually only have one, or in the case of these, two (they were bite sized) and then I make up for it with extra exercise every day.

Peabody- What I would give for a nice whack of granola. I'm actually going to the store today, and "granola fixin's" is written on my shopping list. haha..
