The ONLY place I've ever been for breakfast that offers more than just "brown" or white toast is the restaurant attached to the Harbour-Front Days Inn in Victoria (which is tragically being knocked down to build a Hilton. Shudder). Anyways at the Days Inn, in addition to some delicious ham and eggs, they offer white, rye, sourdough and multigrain (not "brown") toast. It's still all pre-sliced bread, but it's very tasty and still hot when it hits your table.
