French Toast Danish
Instead of going out to breakfast last weekend, I decided to stay in and try something a little different. I picked up a danish without frosting:
Cracked a couple of eggs into a dish, added some milk, vanilla and cinnamon and mixed it up:
Gave my danish a bath:
Then fried it up and voila!
Now for a little maple syrup.. I happen to keep mine in an old vodka bottle:
And NOW it was ready to eat. mmmmmmmmmmm yummy:

Where do you buy danish without filling or frosting? Who would even want to eat danish like that? It sounds like you have found the only possible and practical use for such dull danish.

Something I’ve learned in the past couple of years is that you can “Frenchify” lots of different kinds of bread, as seen in an earlier post where I made a French Toast Danish. […]

[…] Being as obsessed with breakfast as I am, I’m always on the lookout for new breakfast ideas. This morning’s inspiration was sitting on the counter in the form of a loaf of banana bread. French toast is a personal favorite and I’ve tried the cinnamon-bun french toast so “why not make a banana bread french toast?” I asked myself. […]
