Very cool. This doesn’t exist yet, but what a great looking design! If I understand correctly, the glass would heat the toast. Found here.

Glass is bad conductor of heat so the heating will never be from the sides. it will be only from the bottom and hence the bread will be toasted unevenly and burnt at the bottom!
