Kettlemans’s Bagel Co.
This morning was nice and sunny but damn.. it was chilly. Once again I had no idea where I’d end up and just jumped into the car and headed out. I went solo over the river and turned west. It was getting late (12:45) so finding a place still serving breakfast was starting to look bleak. I was about to give up and head home when I saw a sign that said “ALL DAY B FAST.” WOO! Kettleman’s Bagel Co. at 2177 Carling claims to have Montreal style bagels and I can tell ya after having them with a breakfast over at Dunn’s on Elgin that they’re damn good bagels.
I had the Breakfast Bagel:

I was a little thrown off by the “ALL DAY B FAST” claim though. Maybe I didn’t look carefully enough but the only breakfast item that I saw there was the Breakfast Bagel. It was yummy, even if it is the only thing they have available for your breakfast pleasure. It came with coffee for under 5 bucks.

Awesome brekfast bagel. I make something similar to that at home. Mmmm.

You know you are lying to yourself.
Thgere are only 2 Montreal bagels - St.Viateur and Fairmount - and they are only good when eaten warm from the brick oven or within 36 hours and toasted.
